How do I know Davis-Smith candidates are qualified?
All employee of Davis-Smith must pass a comprehensive screening process before they are made available for work. We contact past employers, check all education, and certification with primary source verification, perform criminal background checks and drug screens. Davis-Smith will only present candidates who have passed this screening and also possess the required skills for your position.
How soon do I have to call before I need an employee?
While we request as much lead-time as possible, we have a high success rate of filling next day assignments.
Will I have more multiple candidates to choose from?
Yes, typically we will present 3 or more qualified candidates for any opening you may have.
What is the candidate selection process?
We provide four options of selecting a candidate:
1. We will choose for you based on your job order, criteria and our personal
knowledge of your practice.
2. We will submit resumes of qualified candidates for your review.
3. You may conduct phone interviews with any candidate you choose.
4. You may conduct face-to-face interviews with any candidate you choose.
Do I have to keep track of their hours?
Each Davis-Smith employee will be responsible for keeping track of their own hours and supplying you with a time card at the end of each week for your signature approval. The time card is than submitted to Davis-Smith for payroll processing. We recommend that all clients track all hours worked to ensure accuracy.
How am I invoiced?
Davis-Smith processes weekly payroll based on the signed time cards received from each employee. This generates an invoice for you based on actual approved hours. Davis-Smith mails you the invoice along with a reference copy of the time card for payment.
What if the candidate is not a good fit for my practice?
While Davis-Smith strives to minimize this occurrence, it does happen. If the candidate chosen is not a good fit and you wish to end their services, you will call your Davis-Smith representative and we will handle the ending of their assignment. If this is done within the first 4 hours of a new candidates assignment, there is no charge for that time period.
Am I responsible for unemployment insurance?
No, because each candidate is an employee of Davis-Smith. We are responsible for unemployment insurance and any associated charges.
Are Davis-Smith employees insured?
Yes, all Davis-Smith employees are covered by our comprehensive insurance package, including; Malpractice, Crime/Theft, Auto, Professional Liability, and Workers Compensation. We also have an Umbrella Liability policy and a Fidelity Bond on all of our employees.
Are Davis-Smith employees HIPPA qualified?
Yes, All Davis-Smith employees are HIPPA compliant.
